First launched in 2013, over the past 10 years, the "Run for the Heart" program has raised 40.6 billion VND, helping fund life-saving heart surgeries for 1,549 children with congenital heart defects.

A 10-Year Journey of Keeping Hearts Beating

Looking back at the journey that began a decade ago in 2013, the program's inaugural event raised just 345 million VND—only enough to save 15 tiny hearts. However, as goodwill spread, fundraising in the second year surged more than 3.5 times to nearly 1.3 billion VND, and the figures continued to climb steadily in the following years.

By 2023, Run for the Heart had accumulated a total fund of over 40.6 billion VND. Thanks to this, the number of children receiving free heart surgeries skyrocketed from 15 in the first year to 1,549 children ten years later.

Achieving these impressive results would have been impossible without the contribution and participation of tens of thousands of runners. From 3,000 participants in the first year, the event recorded around 10,000 runners in 2023, averaging 5,000 to 10,000 participants annually across all age groups—from pupils and students to office workers and families.

With the theme "Harmonies of Life," the 10th Run for the Heart promises to deliver unforgettable experiences for everyone.

Ready for the 10th Edition with Stronger Heartbeats

After many years of being held in Ho Chi Minh City, the 2024 Run for the Heart is making a comeback to the capital city of Hanoi with various exciting innovations. This year, participants in Hanoi will not only satisfy their passion for running but also come together to write the next chapter of this magical journey on race tracks filled with sound.

Under the theme "Harmonies of Life," the 10th Run for the Heart promises an unforgettable experience. The race will feature various musical artists to energize runners throughout the course, as music remains the most effective way to connect heartbeats and people.

Notably, for the first time ever, Run for the Heart will offer two running distances tailored to individual preferences:

• Fun Run (3km): Exclusively designed for families and children, featuring obstacle courses, running under ropes, and running through a shower of soap bubbles.

• Pro Run (10km): Specially designed for individual and professional athletes, featuring challenges like running on sand and navigating tire obstacles.

Beyond the physical race tracks, this year's program will also feature an array of engaging and meaningful online and offline activities.
