The purpose of this program is to increase population density in the border area adjacent Cambodia, just a few hundred meters far from their border, in order to increase the presence of Vietnamese army and people to preserve the territory of Fatherland. With over 31km of border line with trails and open roads, Ben Cau District is the most important border area of Tay Ninh Province. During the peak of pandemic outbreak in Cambodia, the province had to deploy 31 military checkpoints along the border on-duty day and night to prevent people illegally immigrating to Vietnam.
